DIY Thrift Store Magnet Board

 Some things you will need...

1. Metal Serving Tray
(I found mine at Goodwill for $1)
2. Spray Paint
3. Ribbon (or some way of hanging it)
4. Super Glue or Hot Glue Gun
5. Buttons or Objects To Turn Into Magnets
6. Magnets

Clean and lightly sand any glossy surfaces to help paint adhere.Add as any coats as needed to achieve desired look. I added a clear matte finish to mine.

Make magnets while waiting for paint to dry.

I love this cute button and cameo set I found at Jo-Ann's.
This is also a great project to use up a stash of buttons you don't know what to do with.

After the paint dries, attach the ribbon and hang. "Voila!" A beautiful hanging magnet board.
I hung mine by the front door to hold my keys and outgoing mail and reminder notes to
 the kids & hubby.
